There were indications yesterday that the Federal Government may exempt Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, and several other agencies from the Treasury Single Account, TSA, policy.

FG committed to press freedom – Adeshina

Lagos – The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adeshina, has assured media practitioners of the Federal Government’s commitment to upholding press freedom.
Adeshina said this at the public presentation on Tuesday of the first two volumes of a book entitled, “Nigerian Media Leaders: Voices beyond the Newsroom, “ written by Mr Richard Ikiebe.

Saraki is our choice, no political trial will change our opinion- Senators declare



Members of the Senate have said no political, vindictive and mischievous trial will make them change their opinion about Senator Saraki being their president. The senators said this in a statement they released yesterday which was signed by Senator Ibrahim Abdullahi Danbaba
"We also want to state here, on behalf of our colleagues, that the Senate remains solidly behind Senator Saraki and we express our unalloyed support for his leadership. We reiterate the fact that he is our choice for the post of Senate President and no politically motivated, mischievous and vindictive trial will change our opinion of him." the statement read.

Diddy is said to be working on a long-awaited album but, even without his music, he was the top-earning rapper of the past year.

Releasing its annual list on Tuesday, Forbes said that Diddy — whose real name is Sean Combs and whose stage names include Puff Daddy — took in $60 million from June 2014 to June 2015.His earnings come mostly through his business projects, especially his venture selling French-made Ciroc liquor, the wealth magazine said.

Army officer shoots musician in Lagos

LAGOS— Doctors in New Nigeria Hospital at Kirikiri area of Lagos State, are currently battling to save the life of a young artiste who was shot by a yet- to -be-identified Army officer, last Wednesday morning.
The young artiste allegedly shot by Army officer in Lagos.
It was learned that the victim was returning home from the studio with his friend when he was shot by the soldier.  He was later rushed to a nearby hospital that same night for treatment.
